It is ordered, that two of the Commissioners from each Towne bee chosen as messengers to carry the sayd letter (namely, Gregorie Dexter, Hugh Bewitt, Stukely Was- cote, and John Townsend) now drawn forth by the Commissioners in answer to the letter sent to the Townes, subscribed by John Sanford, William Baulstoue, William Jeffery, and John Porter ; and those four messengers are to present this letter to the view of two at the least of the sayd gentlemen, or give notice to some other of them to which of them they have delivered it ; and farther, that these foure messengers shall have libertye to consult and advise with those foure abovesayd men, or any of them accordinge to their wisdomes for the peace and welfare of the Collony.
