Six of my ancestors emmigrated to the Puritan colony of Massachusetts Bay in 1633. Within 5 years, all of them would be exiled for heresy.

Margaret Lang Odding and John Porter were my 10th great-grandparents. Their daughter Hannah Porter was my 9th great-grandmother. They moved to Roxbury, then Boston, but were banished and founded a new colony on Aquidneck Island, holding properties in Portsmouth and Newport.
